Sharla Anderson, MPH
Chief Executive Officer
Sharla holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma. She also earned a master’s degree in public health administration from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Sharla has more than 20 years of healthcare experience and has served as CEO at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1999. During that time, she has been awarded four President's Circle Leadership Awards from HealthSouth.

Bradley Merritt, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Bradley Merritt earned a medical degree from the University of California at Irvine. He went on to complete an internship in preliminary medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Merritt is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the Physicians Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Medicine and the Texas Medical Association, among others.

Bonnie Maywhort, MA, PT
Director of Therapy Operations
Bonnie graduated with a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Long Beach and earned a master’s degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University. After serving as a physical therapist in the United States Navy, Bonnie worked in home health and acute care until 1986 when she started working in inpatient rehabilitation. She has been the director of therapy operations at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since its opening in 1993 and has helped lead her team to national recognition as a leader in positive patient outcomes.

Lisa Robinson
Director of Marketing Operations
Lisa oversees all marketing team efforts, as well as community relations, for Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital. Originally joining the hospital in 1994 as a patient accounts representative, Lisa was promoted to admissions manager in 1996. After earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Tyler, Lisa joined the marketing team as community relations coordinator in 2002, and was named director of marketing operations in 2006.

Mike Treadway
Chief Financial Officer
Mike has served as CFO at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 2001. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business administration from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration.

Brian O'Neill
Director of Quality Management
Brian earned his physical therapy assistant degree in 1994 from Baltimore City Community College in Baltimore, Maryland. He has served as director of quality management since 1999. Brian also serves on the National Patient Safety Task Force for HealthSouth.

Kevin Paul, MD
Program Director, Pain Management
Dr. Kevin Paul earned a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, as well as a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Paul is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Spine Intervention Society and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Mark Race, MD
Program Director, Day Neurological Program
Dr. Mark Race earned a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He also completed an internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr. Race has a fellowship with the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Medicine.  He serves as director for the hospital's Day Neurological  Program.

Kevin Rosetta, RPh
Director of Pharmacy/Regional Director of Pharmacy
Kevin graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1992. He has served as director of pharmacy at HealthSouth hospitals in Beaumont and Tyler, Texas. Kevin has been at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 2007. He is the HealthSouth regional director of pharmacy for Texas.

Renee Brown
Human Resources Manager
 
Renee currently serves as the human resources manager at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital. Her tenure began in 2003 serving as an admissions representative. She transferred to an assistant position in the Human Resources Department in late 2003 and was later promoted to human resources coordinator which led to her current position as manager. Renee has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from LeTourneau University and is currently pursuing a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification


Artis Newsome, MA, P T
Senior Inpatient Physical Therapist

Certified Wound Specialist
Specialty: AutoAmbulator

Artis earned an undergraduate degree in biology and a graduate degree in sociology at Stephen F. Austin University. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Artis has served as a senior physical therapist for Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1993. He is certified in NDT/Bobath Treatment for adults with hemiplegia and has completed courses in Neuro-IFRAH treatment. In 1998, Artis was designated a certified wound specialist by the American Academy of Wound Management. He is a corporate instructor for advanced wound care courses.


Joy Shea, MS, CCC-SL
Senior Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist
Specialty: VitalStim
Joy received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University. In 1991, she earned a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Texas in Dallas. Joy has been with Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1995 and has served as a senior speech-language pathologist since 1996. She received her VitalStim certification in 2005 and is the program champion.

Shari Curran, OT
Animal Assisted Therapy Coordinator
Shari received a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She has more than 20 years of experience in animal-assisted therapy. Shari developed and currently manages the Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) program for Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital. In her years of experience, she has produced many educational videos, authored a book on animal assisted therapy and was named the National Leader in AAT by Town and Country Magazine in 1995.

Suzanne Melhart, PT
Outpatient Physical Therapist
Specialty: Bioness L300 Program Champion
Suzanne graduated from Tyler Junior College with an associate’s degree in general studies and earned an undergraduate degree in health education from Texas A&M University. She also received a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas. Since 2004, Suzanne has served as therapist for patients with both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. In April 2007, she was named program champion for the Bioness L300 neuroprosthetic device.

Sandra Huzenlaub, RN
Clinical Liaison
Sandra Huzenlaub received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler. She has more than 25 years of marketing experience, 20 years of which was in the rehabilitation field including 18 in nursing. She joined Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 1992.

Cassidy Ramos, RN
Clinical Liaison
Cassidy received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2002. She began her career at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in 2008, working in the Telemetry Unit and later moving to the Ortho/Neuro Unit as a case manager.

Judy Weis, RN
Clinical Liaison
Judy received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1989.  She has 20 years of healthcare experience including home health and acute care.  Judy joined the Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital team in 2001.

Russell Walker
Rehabilitation Liaison
Russell received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. He has worked in the healthcare industry, including hospice and acute care, for more than 13 years. He joined the marketing team at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 2007.

Chad McNeil, MD
Program Director, Arthritis
Dr. McNeil earned his medical degree from the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. He completed his residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation the University of Utah Hospital. Dr. McNeil’s training has prepared him to help those who have had major lifestyle changes due to stroke, neurologic disorders, or musculoskeletal disorders or injuries. His specific interests include sports medicine and spasticity. Dr. McNeil is affiliated with Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler, Texas.

Marla Jones
Rehabilitation Liaison
Raised in Tyler, Texas, Marla attended Tyler Junior College and has more than ten years of healthcare marketing experience.  She joined the marketing team of Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 2006.  Marla is active in the community through the Junior League of Tyler and gives back to the community through her volunteer work, as well as through her daily marketing of the many healthcare services available to the people of East Texas.

Joey Braly, RN
Clinical Liaison
Joey received an associate's degree in nursing from Kilgore College in 1991. He began working in the trauma unit, then cardiac care at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital before joining the Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital team as a clinical liaison in 1995.

Michele Dingler, RN, BSN
Chief Nursing Officer
Michele graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2000. She has worked in healthcare since 1994. Her nursing background is in emergency medicine and has experience working in a Level One trauma center. Michele has worked in many hospitals in the East Texas area as well as in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration.

Connie Brenton, RN
Home Health Director
Connie graduated from University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She has been employeed with Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 2005, initially as the infection control nurse and later assisting with the setup and opening of the hospital's home health agency. Connie has more than 15 years experience in various health related fields including ortho/neuro, medical/surgical and oncology.
